Nax Week 3

Our third week of raids and the crew was once again starting to really piece together well. Finishing off all our old friends, we went back for more dance lessons. This time it looked like the majority of the class had taken private lessons, notching up another guild first .

Heigan the Unclean.

The chance to get our first T7 Loot was too good to pass up, so we headed down to Loatheb with our heal crew on the ball and a little luck we pulled off another guild first, first shot.

Loatheb

Yielding our first T7 shoulder token, which went to the raid leader, Hakon. Pumped from our victory with Loatheb and finishing another wing.
We headed off to the DK wing to see if we could pry one set of loot out of a dead corpse for the night. After a few tries learning the tanking mechanics of the fight, we downed Instructor Razuvious to make it 3 guild firsts for the week.

Stay tuned for more guild firsts from the Military Wing soon.

Nax week 2

So the start of a new raid week saw us back in Nax and brought with it 2 new guild firsts.

Firstly Maexxna

I told you it wouldn’t be long to add her. This finished off the Arachnid Quarter for AC.
Next on our hit list was the Plague Quarter. So we figured we would just take a look at Noth the Plaguebringer, but with a flawless guild first we notched up another Dead Boss for the week.

After this we went and took out first dance lessons with Heigan the Unclean, let’s just say besides the smart ass tank the rest of the class was in for an epic fail.

Nax Sneak Peak

With the start of a New Year raiding kicking off half way thru a “raid” week we planned a short trip into Nax to see what trouble we could get ourselves into.
Resulting in 2 guild first for the New Year.
Firstly Anub’Rekhan

Followed by the Grand Widow Faerlina

Maexxna left us in a tangled web for this week but she will go down soon enough.

The End of an Era, and a New Begining

With only hours to go before Wotlk finally went live, AC went into our old stomping ground of Kara for one last clear. In just under 2 hours, we had made our way to the Prince and raced a server reset to finish our final ever Kara clear.
Over the next few weeks, many of us reached 80 and started running heroics and gearing up for Nax. Christmas and New Years came and went and now we stand ready, just a week out from our first offical Nax run.

I personally congratulate everyone on a outstanding effort to be ready for Nax and the start of a new chapter in AC history. It is a honor and privilege to lead such a tight group of people that are more like family to most of us.

I look forward to posting many new guild firsts and progression reports in weeks to come.

About Aussie Crew

Aussie Crew was first created as a chat channel in Everquest with a collection of like-minded players from many different raid guilds. The majority of them moved to WoW and were spread across different guilds and even servers. On February 26, 2006 the channel/people decided to take the next step and form Aussie Crew the Guild, on Doomhammer. We have since moved to Muradin and the Guild has evolved into what you see today, a tight-knit community of players. We are a casual raid guild that currently runs 10man raids 3 nights a week. Since the channel from oh so many years ago we have always gone by the motto "Doing more with less." We are an Aussie time zone guild on a US server, with members from all across the world.
